Overview

Install Pulse Secure for MAC — JWU IT. Download the Pulse Secure installer. Open the package file. Click 'Continue' and 'Install.' Enter your Macintosh Administrator-level credentials.

Using the Junos Pulse Secure client for Mac OS X 1 - Download the Junos Pulse Secure 5.2.4 client here. 2 - Double-click the downloaded file to install. If prompted, install using the Typical settings. Pulse - 9.1r8.2 - 32 bit installer; Pulse - 9.1r8.2 - 64 bit installer; Macintosh. Download note: Clicking the Pulse link below will prompt you to log into Box. Click the blue download button to download the file. There isn't a preview of the file. Junos Pulse Mac Download Software

Virtual Private Networking (VPN) software creates a secure, encrypted connection between your off-campus computer and the campus network. Affiliates of InCHIP can use VPN software to connect securely to the campus network from off-campus. This software, called Junos Pulse, must be downloaded to your computer, installed and configured. To connect using the full VPN client, download it below, install and configure it as directed.

1. Double click on the download and then the package icon
   
2. Click “Continue”
   
3. Click “Install”
   
4. You will be prompted for user credentials. This would be the user name and password with the ability to install software on this Mac. If you are unsure please contact InCHIP IT
   
5. Click “Close”
   

3. Configure Client

1. Click on the Junos icon on the title bar and then click “Open Junos Pulse”
   
2. Click on the “+” symbol at the bottom of the window
   
3. Enter in the values shown below and click “Add”
   
4. Close the window.
5. Click on the Junos Client icon on the title bar and mouse over “CHIP VPN” and select “Connect”
6. You will be prompted to enter your InCHIP ID [usually First Initial, Last Name] and password. To save this step in the future you may select “Save Settings”. To have increased security, do not check “Save settings” and you will be prompted each time you connect.
   
7. To disconnect from the VPN, click on the Junos Client icon on the title bar and mouse over “CHIP VPN” and select “Disconnect”

Alert: Pulse Upgrade issue for Windows Computers
HMS IT is aware of an issue with the Pulse Secure VPN client that affects Windows OS. After logging into Pulse Secure, you may be prompted to download to a newer version. The download may fail due to a known issue with the Pulse Secure VPN server. We are working with the vendor to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. As a workaround, you can click OK to dismiss the download error. This will allow you to continue using VPN without issue. Note that you may get this prompt each time you log into VPN until the issue is resolved.
